Best of all, our team provides free transportation—our shift leaders will drive you to and from volunteer sites in the neighborhood using our campus van.

Volunteer Guidelines & Requirements
- What to Wear: For safety reasons, you must wear closed-toed shoes and long pants. Please also bring a hat or be prepared to tie long hair back before arriving.
- Age Requirements: Volunteers under 16 years of age are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult chaperone.
- Experience Level: No prior experience is necessary! All of our shifts are designed to be comfortable and accessible, whether it’s your first time cooking a large meal or your first trip helping out in the neighborhood.
Health and Illness Policy
The health of our volunteers and the community members we serve is our top priority.
-
If you are feeling unwell, please do not come to the kitchen. Rest up, recover, and let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust our shift planning.
-
Reporting illness: If you recently worked a shift and have since become sick, our health inspectors require us to keep an official record. Please immediately report your illness to campuskitchen@augsburg.edu.
