  {"id":6574,"date":"2012-08-27T15:58:09","date_gmt":"2012-08-27T15:58:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/?page_id=6574"},"modified":"2025-11-03T15:25:21","modified_gmt":"2025-11-03T15:25:21","slug":"financial-aid-and-scholarships","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/transfer\/financial-aid-and-scholarships\/","title":{"rendered":"Scholarships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ÂÌ²èÖ±²¥ recognizes students who have demonstrated outstanding academic, leadership, service, and extracurricular achievements through Augsburg\u2019s scholarship program.\u00a0 Due to the generous amounts of our institutional scholarships, a student\u2019s total scholarship award plus any state and\/or federal grants cannot exceed the total cost of tuition at Augsburg.<\/p>\n<h2>Early Auggie Scholarship<\/h2>\n<p>Incoming transfer students who have an application received by the early application deadline will receive a renewable, $2,000 Early Auggie Scholarship upon admission.<\/p>\n<p>*Applicants for the<strong> spring semester (2026) <\/strong>must apply by<strong> November 1, 2025.\u00a0<\/strong> Those applying for<strong> fall semester (2026) <\/strong>must apply no later than<strong> March 15, 2026. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Amount:<\/strong>\u00a0$2,000 per year<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>merit Transfer Scholarships<\/h2>\n<p>The following scholarships are awarded at the point of admission based on information that is provided in the application. Notification of the scholarships are done through the acceptance letter.\u00a0 Recipients must be enrolled full-time in the day program working towards their first bachelor\u2019s degree and can only receive <strong><em>one\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>of the following transfer scholarships.<\/p>\n<h3>Transfer Regents Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p>Awarded to new transfer students based on their cumulative grade point of average of one year or more of completed college coursework. Transfer students of exceptional academic ability with strong evidence of leadership potential will be considered for the higher end of the Transfer Regents Scholarship.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Amount:<\/strong> $25,000\u2013$30,000 per year<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Additional Scholarship Opportunities<\/h2>\n<h3>Augsburg Promise Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p>The Augsburg Promise Scholarship program acknowledges academic success and is designed to make ÂÌ²èÖ±²¥ affordable for students with demonstrated financial need.<\/p>\n<p>Incoming transfer students will receive the total cost of tuition and standard fees (does not include room, board or books) through scholarships and grants if they meet certain eligibility requirements.\u00a0 Students must submit the FAFSA each year and remain Pell Grant eligible for the scholarship to renew.\u00a0 For more information and eligibility requirements, please see the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/promisescholarship\/\">Augsburg Promise Scholarship<\/a> program details.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Amount:<\/strong>\u00a0Full Tuition<\/p>\n<h3>American Indian Recognition Full Tuition Program<\/h3>\n<p>Augsburg\u2019s American Indian Recognition Full Tuition Program aims to support and promote the importance of American Indian students on campus. The program will cover all remaining tuition and fees after federal and state gift aid has been applied for eligible students starting in Fall 2022.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/augsburg.edu\/american-indian-recognition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/augsburg.edu\/american-indian-recognition&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1644952814615000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1NLHSHxdwrjwWfy5i-HjQc\">Visit the American Indian Recognition Full Tuition Program website for more information.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Amount:<\/strong> Up to Full Tuition<\/p>\n<h3>Augsburg Family Scholars<\/h3>\n<p>The Augsburg Family Scholars is a program to narrow the opportunity gap for students with foster care backgrounds, beginning in Fall 2022.\u00a0 The program is designed to work in tandem with the state-level support, but is open to any new or returning undergraduate student with a foster care background. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/augsburgfamilyscholars\/\">Visit the Augsburg Family Scholars website for more information<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Amount: <\/strong>Up to Full Comprehensive Fees (including tuition, housing, meal plan, and books)<\/p>\n<h3>Impact Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p>The Impact Scholarship recognizes students who major in the creative arts: art &amp; design, creative writing, film &amp; new media, music, or theater. Recipients are required to live on campus. This scholarship renews yearly for up to four years, and is awarded based on faculty approval following an audition or submission of a digital portfolio.
