Augsburg Assistant Professor and Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing mentor Stephan Eirik Clark has garnered a great deal of media attention since his debut novel, 鈥淪weetness #9,鈥 received publicity on 鈥淭he Colbert Report鈥 as part of host Stephen Colbert鈥檚 effort to raise awareness of and interest in new novels. 鈥淪weetness #9鈥 is a comic satire, family story, and profound examination of cultural anxieties.

Augsburg Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing mentor Jack El-Hai recently won the Minnesota Book Award for General Nonfiction for his book, 鈥淭he Nazi and the Psychiatrist: Hermann G枚ring, Dr. Douglas M. Kelley, and a Fatal Meeting of Minds at the End of WWII.鈥 El-Hai鈥檚 book tells the story of the remarkable relationship between U.S. Army Psychiatrist Capt. Douglas M. Kelley and the elite of the captured Nazi regime, particularly Hermann G枚ring. El-Hai was interviewed about this work for a History Channel program set to air next year.
