Our research<\/a> shows that young adults do not like to be \u2018targeted.\u2019\u00a0 We are fairly certain innovation, <\/span>theologically understood, is not the creation of new, shiny programs intended to \u2018attract\u2019 young adults back to church.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>We think innovation has more to do with faith communities stepping into vocational discernment in partnership with young adults and their neighborhood.\u00a0 This means getting out of comfort zones, moving into the neighborhood to actively listen to\/respond to the neighbors\u2019 story, engaging young adults in this contextual learning work AND trusting that God has a new thing for us <\/span>and<\/span> our neighbor in this work.<\/span><\/p>\n
