Best Value Schools evaluates institutions that provide quality education for their students and excel at online programs or traditional on-campus higher education.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Best College in America<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2024, <a href=\"https:\/\/money.com\/best-colleges\/\">Money.com<\/a> included Augsburg in their showcase of the country&#8217;s top 745 colleges based on graduation rates, cost of attendance, financial aid, alumni salaries, and more. Rankings were based on Money.com&#8217;s exclusive value-added scores for graduation rates, earnings, and student loan repayment, eliminating schools with below-average scores.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Fulbright Scholars<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">In 2023, Augsburg was once again named a top producer of Fulbright Scholars among liberal arts colleges across the nation. Augsburg has had 38 Fulbright students since 2007. We have been highlighted by both the Chronicle of Higher Education and the U.S. Department of State as being a top institution for producing Fulbright students. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/urgo\/scholarships\/augsburg-awardees\/\">Learn more about our Fulbright students.<\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Gilman International Scholarship Awards<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">More than 72 Augsburg students have been awarded Gilman International Scholarships since 2008. The\u00a0Gilman International Scholarship Program\u00a0provides awards for U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding and are in good academic standing to participate in study and intern\u00a0abroad programs worldwide.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Milken Educator Awards<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/education\/about\/milken\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Seven Augsburg graduates<\/a> have received the prestigious Milken Educator Award, which provides public recognition and financial awards to elementary and secondary education professionals who further excellence in education.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">National Scholarship Award Winners<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">In addition to the above awards, Augsburg has produced Newman Civic Fellows, Phillips, Rhodes, Udall, and Rossing Physics scholars, among many other prestigious scholarship award winners.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Community\u00a0Engagement<\/h2>\n<a id=\"president\" style=\"display: block; position: relative; top: -20px; visibility: hidden;\"> <\/a>\n<h3 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">President\u2019s Interfaith and Community Service Honor Roll: Finalist with Distinction<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Augsburg was one of five finalists in the United States named to the prestigious President\u2019s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll with Distinction in the interfaith and community service category in both 2014 and 2015. Augsburg has been named to the top tier of recognition\u2014the honor roll with distinction\u2014for this prominent national award six times.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">President&#8217;s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll\u2014with Distinction<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Augsburg was named to the President\u2019s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll with Distinction in 2013.\u00a0Augsburg was\u00a0 one of only three in Minnesota to earn this distinction. This is the fourth time Augsburg has earned this honor. The award, presented by the Corporation for National and Community Service, recognizes the work of colleges and universities in overall community service.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">In 2010, Augsburg won the <a title=\"2010 Presidential Award for Community Service\" href=\"https:\/\/augnet.augsburg.edu\/news-archives\/2011\/05_09_11\/honor_roll.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2010 Presidential Award for Community Service<\/a>, the highest honor possible for service work. At the time, Augsburg was the only Minnesota college or university to have received this honor.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Excellence in\u00a0Experiential Education<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Augsburg&#8217;s commitment to experiential education was recognized for the third time in as many years on October 5, 2012 when the National Society for Experiential Education (NSEE) presented President Paul C. Pribbenow with the 2012 William M. Burke Presidential Award for Excellence in Experiential Education, which is a testament to the fact that hands-on learning is a core part of Augsburg&#8217;s curriculum.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Top 3 in Minnesota for Contribution to the Public Good<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">In Washington Monthly 2019 College Rankings, Augsburg ranked second in Minnesota among master\u2019s universities for community and national service and third overall. The list rates schools based on their contribution to the public good in three categories: social mobility, research, and promoting public service.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Diversity and Inclusion<\/h2>\n<a id=\"transgender\" style=\"display: block; position: relative; top: -20px; visibility: hidden;\"> <\/a>\n<h3 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">50 Best Disability Friendly Colleges and Universities<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Great Value Colleges ranked Augsburg #14 of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greatvaluecolleges.net\/top-colleges-for-disabled-students\/\">50\u00a0Best Disability Friendly Colleges and Universities in 2019<\/a> for having strong programming and solid support services that meet the physical, social, and academic needs of students with learning disabilities and special needs. In 2023, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.collegechoice.net\/choosing-a-college\/disability-friendly-universities\/\">College Choice<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.intelligent.com\/best-colleges-and-universities\/disability-friendly\/#augsburg_university\">Intelligent.com<\/a> listed Augsburg as among the nation&#8217;s top 50 disability-friendly colleges.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Top 30 LGBTQ Friendly Colleges and Universities<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Augsburg was again named to Campus Pride&#8217;s list of the top 30 LGBTQ+ friendly colleges and universities in 2023. Campus Pride is the leading national organization for creating safer, more LGBTQ friendly colleges and universities.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">10 Religious Schools Living Up to LGBTQ-Inclusive Values<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">In 2021, Campus Pride ranked Augsburg in the top 10 Religious Colleges Living Up to LGBTQ-Inclusive Values.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">45th Best LGBTQ Friendly University<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">College Choice\u00a0ranked Augsburg #45 among\u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.collegechoice.net\/rankings\/best-lgbt-friendly-colleges-and-universities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">50\u00a0Best LGBT Friendly Colleges and Universities, 2023<\/a>\u00a0for having a strong and proven history of creating quality programming for the LGBTQ community and its allies.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">25 LGBT Friendly Colleges<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">College Consensus, a unique new college review aggregator, has recognized Â̲èÖ±²¥ in its survey of the <a href=\"https:\/\/collegeconsensus.com\/rankings\/best-lgbt-schools\/\">25 LGBTQ Friendly Colleges<\/a>. College Consensus works to bring attention to schools that other ranking publishers overlook. Intentional gender neutral language, explicit non-discrimination policies, and gender neutral dorms and restrooms were some of the factors taken into account.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Top 200 Schools\u00a0for\u00a0Indigenous Americans<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The American Indian Science and Engineering Society Winds of Change magazine has selected Augsburg as one of the Top 200 Schools for\u00a0Indigenous American and Alaska Native students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, and math for many years, most recently in 2019.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Honor Roll<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Augsburg was named one of the nation&#8217;s top four-year institutions supporting community college transfer students in 2025, earning a spot on Phi Theta Kappa Society\u2019s annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ptk.org\/recruiters\/university-transfer-recruiters\/transfer-honor-roll\/\">Transfer Honor Roll<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>University\u00a0Awards<\/h2>\n<a id=\"usnews\" style=\"display: block; position: relative; top: -20px; visibility: hidden;\"> <\/a>\n<h3 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Best Regional Universities by U.S. News &amp; World Report<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">U.S. News &amp; World Report again named Augsburg one of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/best-colleges\/augsburg-university-2334\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Best Regional Universities in the Midwest<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 2025.
